Funeral services were held on Wednesday, October 29, 1986, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Rock Township, south of St. Ansgar, for Lawrence Tabbert, 87, of Osage. Rev. Richard Zellmer officiated, and burial was in St. John's Cemetery. Mr. Tabbert died on Sunday, October 26, 1986 at Good Samaritan Care Center, St. Ansgar.

Lawrence August Frank Tabbert was born on December 28, 1898 in Rock Township, Mitchell County, Iowa, to Wilhelm and Friederike Pahl Tabbert. He was baptized and confirmed in the St. John's Lutheran Church, Rock township. Lawrence spent the majority of his life farming in Rock township.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

He is survived by two brothers, Albert and Otto, both of Osage.
