Funeral services were held Sunday, September 7, 1986 at Conway Funeral Chapel of Riceville, for Alfred Reckner, 79, of rural Riceville. He died Thursday, September 4, 1986 at his home.

Rev. R. Pfeil officIated, and burial was in the Lutheran Cemetery at Riceville.

Mr. Reckner farmed in the Riceville area.

Survivors include three sisters: Mary Carpenter of Minneapolis, Lillie Hobert of Rockford, Iowa, and Alvina Bohnerman of Cedar Falls, Iowa; and two brothers, Richard of Riceville and Harvey of Osage.
