Jane Elizabeth Dahley, age 68, died Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at the Sheffield Care Center in Sheffield, Iowa.

Jane Elizabeth Dahley was born April 25, 1944, in Osage, Iowa, the daughter of Adrian and Agnes (Dargan) Kleckner. She was a 1962 graduate of Osage High School. In May of 1962, she married Wayne A. Dahley, and they were together for 25 years. During those years, she was busy raising their four sons, standing on the sidelines of her sons’ sporting events, golfing, traveling, and enjoying her family and friends. Jane always had a heart for hospitality. She could whip out a fully cooked meal in a moment's notice and her famous potato salad will live on in the hearts of many. She also worked part time at the Pleasant Valley Golf Course in Thornton, an insurance agency in Clear Lake, and for two years was the owner and operator of the Sheffield Supper Club with her husband.

In 1987, she moved to Fort Collins, Colorado, where she lived for 24 years. For 20 of those years, she lived with her partner Kenneth Hines. In Fort Collins, she worked at Toddy's Supermarket, as an administrative assistant at Fine Print, and then spent over ten years as an assistant to the head of the Lory Student Center at Colorado State University. In Fort Collins, she made many friends and touched many lives, and enjoyed having her siblings Mary, Jody, and Tom nearby.

Jane is survived by four sons, David (Linda) Dahley of Greeley, Colorado, Darwin (Teri) Dahley of Coeburn, Virginia, Daniel Dahley of Rockwell, and Darcy (Kriss) Dahley of Castle Rock, Colorado; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; her former partner, Kenneth Hines of Wellington, Colorado; her former husband, Wayne Dahley of Rockwell; five brothers, Adrian Kleckner, Jr., Timothy Kleckner, Thomas Kleckner, Brian Kleckner, and Tracy Kleckner; three sisters, Mary Thomas, Patricia Humphrey, and Jody Benzel; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
