Funeral services were held Friday, December 19, 1986, in the Bella Vista United Methodist Church, Bella Vista, Arkansas, for Esther Stang, 90, who died Tuesday, December 16, 1986 at her home in Bella Vista. Rev. D. Dussair officiated, and entombment was in the Benton County Memorial Park, Bentonville.

She was born in Shelby, Nebraska, on April 15, 1896, to George J. and Annie Mary Robson Hills. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Bella Vista and a teacher in public schools. She moved to the Arkansas area from Osage in 1971.

Survivors include her husband, Herman F. Stang of Bella Vista; two sons, George A. and Dale E. Stang, both of Osage; two daughters, Lois Phillips of Littleton, Colorado, and Carolyn J. Rodewald of Rockwell City, Iowa; seven grand-children and two great-grandchildren.
