ERVIN SLOAN

Funeral services were held for Ervin Dewey Sloan at Hutchins Funeral Home in LeRoy, Minnesota, on Saturday, January 18, 1986.

Mr. Sloan died on Thursday, January 16, 1986, at Mitchell County Memorial Hospital in Osage. Rev. J. Gilbert officiated at the service.

Mr. Sloan was born in Bailey, Iowa, on February 10, 1898, the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Sloan.

He was united in marriage to Kathaleen Papach on July 7, 1919, and the couple were the parents of one son, Darwin.

Mr. Sloan ran a garage in Bailey and also drove school bus. He made his home with his son in McIntire in later years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, brothers and sisters.

Survivors include his son, Darwin of McIntire; six grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
