Anthony “Tony” William Falk – November 14, 1923 – January 9, 2007

Anthony "Tony" William Falk, 83, of Austin, died Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2007, at Austin Medical Center.
He was born Nov. 14, 1923, in Staceyville, Iowa, to Frank and Anna Falk. Tony worked in a cabinet shop in Charles City, Iowa, for many years before moving to Belvidere, Ill., to work at the Chrysler plant for 18 years. Throughout his life, woodworking was his true passion. Tony was a member of St. Edward's Catholic Church, Austin Post No. 91, American Legion, and the Knights of Columbus.

Tony is survived by his wife, Violet Falk, of Austin; sons and daughters-in-law: Norman and Norma Hamberg, of Casa Grande, Ariz.; Dave and Carol Naatz, of Rochester, Minn.; grandchildren: Andrew Naatz, Sara Naatz, Troy Hamberg, Jacquelin Aldesco, Devin Sanden; brothers: Ernest Falk, of Staceyville, Iowa; Clem Falk, of Austin; several great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law: Dorothy and Leo Streit, of Staceyville, Iowa; Susie Falk, of Staceyville, Iowa; Martha and Darrel Palmer, of San Diego, Calif.; special friend, Clifton Leininger, of Dexter, Minn.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and daughter, Linda Sanden.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 12, at 2 p.m. at St. Edward's Catholic Church with Father Joe Fogal officiating. Visitation will be held at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary today from 4-7 p.m. and Friday at St. Edward's Catholic Church for one hour before the service. Interment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Oakland, Minn., with Austin Post No. 91, American Legion, in charge of military rites
