Beverly J. (Aspel) Hyke -- April 9, 1930 - October 28, 2011

Beverly J. Hyke, 81, of Waterloo, died Friday, October 28, at Ravenwood Nursing & Rehab Center.

She was born April 9, 1930 in Mitchell County, daughter of Harold and Jessie Carter Aspel. She married Charles Hyke on February 23, 1952 in Waterloo.

Survivors include: her husband; four daughters, Beverly Ann Hyke of Waterloo, Judith L. (Steve) McBride of Colfax, Deborah (Joe) Purdy of Cedar Falls and Sharon (Tommy) Vieth of Cedar Rapids; five grandchildren, Justin, Jessica (Bailey Dannels) and Joshua McBride and Megan and Tiffany Olmstead; and three great grandchildren, Cameron McBride, Destiny McBride-Dannels and Cayden Kressley.

Preceded in death by: a sister, Doris Ellis.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Queen Of Peace Catholic Church with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Public visitation will be for an hour before services on Thursday.
