Illa Florence (Gibbs) Asfahl – May 2, 1916 – August 4, 1998

RICEVILLE — Ila Asfahl, 82, of Riceville, died Tuesday (Aug. 4, 1998) at the Riceville Community Rest Home.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Free Methodist Church, Riceville, with Marvin Asfahl officiating with John Rosenberger and the Rev. Herschel Hawf, assisting. Inurnment will be in the Riverside Cemetery.

Ila was born on May 2, 1916, at Elk River, Minn.

Survivors include her husband, Ralph, of Riceville; her son, Marvin, of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic; and her daughter, Patricia Carroll Davis, of Eyota, Minn.; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, two brothers, and one sister.
