DIES AT LAMONI

Osage – A former Osage resident, Mrs. Clara Leverson, 71, died Wednesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Roberts, at Lamoni.

Mrs. Leverson was born and reared in the Rock Creek community.

Survivors include 6 sons; 3 daughters; and two brothers and sisters in the Osage community. They are; Mrs. Ted Christenson; Mrs. Gus Krogstad; Carl Nelson; and Theodore Nelson.
Funeral services were held Friday at 2 p.m. at Lamoni.

Clara Bertina Nelson was born November 25, 1879 in Rock, Mitchell, Iowa, the daughter of Erick Nelson and Inger (Syverud) Nelson.

She married Otto Gaylord Leverson, the son of Ole and Barbara Sophia Levorson

Note* the Leverson/Levorson family seemed to use both spelling. Ole’s tombstone is Levorson and Otto is listed in the Rose Hill cemetery, Lamoni, Decatur, Iowa as Leverson.
