Funeral services for Clarence H. Wolf, 56, who died of a heart attack December 4, 1955, were held December 6 at the First Lutheran church with the Rev. O.A. Langehough officiating.

Clarence Henry Wolf, the son of Fred and Hannah Wolf, was born July 9, 1899, in Guttenberg, Iowa. He was baptized in the Christian faith and was received into communicant membership of the First Lutheran church April 2, 1944. He attended the public schools in Guttenberg and was a graduate of the Austin Mechanical school.

Coming to St. Ansgar in 1914, he rapidly became a skilled artisan in his trade and was a man devoted to his work. Mr. Wolf was a veteran of World War II, entering the U.S. Army Air Force in 1942 and took part in the African campaign. Upon completion of his military service he resumed his work at the H.L. McKinley & Sons in St. Ansgar. He was a member of Walter T. Enneberg Post No. 358 of the American Legion.

He is survived by two sisters, Edna (Mrs. Milton Siesow) of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Carrie (Mrs. Jacob Beckler) of Guttenberg; one brother, George of Canton, Missouri, and several nieces and nephews. His parents, one brother and one sister preceded him in death. Also left to mourn his passing are two very close friends, Mrs. Belle Albertson and Don Albertson with whom Mr. Wolf had made his home for the past 40 years.

Burial was in the St. Ansgar cemetery with Rev. Langehough in charge of the committal services. Members of the local Legion post also took part in military rites at the funeral.
