Guri (Julia) Johannsdatter Fosholdt was born September 29, 1830 at the Fosholdt farm, Hedalen, Norway to John Torkilson Fosholdt and Sigrid Haakonsdatter Kjensrud.

She married Ole Iverson Aspeholt on June 2, 1861 at Norway. The couple had 3 children: Johann Fosholdt Olsen Aspeholt, Gunhild Olsdatter Aspeholt and Iver Olsen Aspeholt.

Family found on a list leaving Liverpool, England on the ship "North American" and arriving at Portland, Maine on April 26, 1867 to emigrate to America. Family traveled west and settled at Rock Township, Mitchell County, Iowa, on a farm.

Julia's husband, Ole Iverson Aspeholt, lived five years after they emigrated, dying on June 15, 1872.

1880: Julia Aspenholt 49 (widowed), Iver Aspenholt 10, Julia Aspenholt 16.

1885: Julia Aspault 54, Iver Aspault 15.

1900: Iver Aspenholt 30, Julia Aspenholt 69.

1910: Iver O Aspenholt 40, Gure Aspenholt 79.

1920: Iver O Aspenholt 50, Julie Aspenholt 89.

Julia Aspeholt died July 5, 1920 at home at Rock township, Mitchell, Iowa and was buried at the Rock Creek Lutheran Cemetery, Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa.
