Randi Borgersdatter Flatla was born July 3, 1875 at Rock, township Mitchell County, Iowa, the first child born to Borger Flatla and Kjersti Hovelsdatter Hvattum Flatla.

Randi died June 2, 1879 at Rock, Mitchell, Iowa. She was buried at the Rock Creek Lutheran Cemetery, Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa. After her death, her parents had another daughter they named Randi Maria who was born March 24, 1880 and did grow to adulthood.
