Henry Albert Schahn -- November 28, 1873 – August 2, 1947

HENRY SCHAHN OF RICEVILLE DIES FROM RUN-OVER BY CAR

Death came to Henry Schahn, 74, retired farmer living in Riceville, within an hour and a half after being run over by his own car Saturday afternoon, August 2nd.

The deceased was the father of Mrs. Dewey Roberts of Lime Springs, and Mrs. W. I. Frost of Nashville, Tennessee. He is also survived by his wife, one brother Ernest, one son Lloyd, and three step-children.

Funeral services and burial were at Riceville Tuesday.

The accident which resulted in Mr. Schahn’s untimely death occurred thru his car, which was parked in the driveway at his home rolling on him, he being pushed thru the yard and onto the paving before the car was stopped. Although rushed to the hospital, he did not regain consciousness.
