MRS. KLEMESRUD RITES WEDNESAY AT ROCK CREEK

Osage – Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church for Mr. Kalmar Klemesrud, 59. She died Sunday at a Mason City hospital. Burial will be in Rock Creek Cemetery. The Rev. John Quam will officiate. Champion Funeral Home is in charge.

Thelma Johnson was born September 6, 1900, at Meroa, to Nick and Caroline Johnson. She attended Cedar Valley Seminary, Osage, and Waldorf College, Forest City. She was married April 29, 1925, and lived on a farm southwest of Osage.

Surviving are her husband, a son, John Phillip Klemesrud, six grandchildren, all of Osage; and a sister, Mrs. Lloyd Gillerman, Plymouth.

Thelma Jennie Johnson was born Se​ptember 6, 1900 at Cedar, Mitc​hell, Iowa to Nicholai J​ohanson Johnson and Thea​ Caroline Norby, the second of their three children. She had an older brother, Herbert and a younger sister, Nora.

Thelma was baptized on October 28, 1900 at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church at Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa. She was confirmed on June 6, 1915 at RCLC.

1910: Nicholis Johnson 45, Thea Caroline Norby Johnson 32, Herbert Johannes Johnson 12, Thelma Johnson 9, Nora Clarinda Johnson 3.
1920: Nicholi J Johnson 55, Caroline Johnson 43, Herbert J Johnson 21, Thelma J Johnson 19, Flora P Johnson 13.

Found in the 1925 census at Osage, Mitchell, Iowa: Nicholi J Johnson 60, Caroline T Johnson 48, Thelma T Johnson 24, Nora C Johnson 18.

Thelma marri​ed Kalmer Livius Kleme​srud on April 29, 1925 at R​ock Creek Lutheran Chu​rch, Meroa, Iowa. The couple had 1 son, John Philip. She was a lifelong member of the Rock Creek Lutheran Church at Meroa, Iowa.

Family found in the 1930 census on a farm at Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa: Kalmer L Klemesrud 29, Thelma J Klemesrud 29.

Thelma died July 3, 1​960 at Mason City, Cerro Gordo, Iowa and was buried at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church C​emetery, Meroa, Iowa. ​
