Carroll** Gene Emerson, two-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Ellsworth Emerson living near Little Cedar, died Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock.

The funeral was held at the home Tuesday morning. Rev. Mr. Cox of the Baptist church officiating.

**Note: The newspaper spelled his name "Carl" but other sources, including his tombstone, have it as Carroll.
