Samuel Stevens, 91, a former resident of Mitchell, died after a brief illness at the I.O.O.F. home in Northfield, Minnesota, where he had made his home for the past 16 years.

Samuel Stevens was born in Brooklyn, New York, November 10, 1854. he came to Mitchell at the age of 15 and made his home with the late Oscar Grow.

On October 7, 1874, he was united in marriage to Mary New____, who preceded him in death in 1935.

Two daughters were born to this union, Elizabeth, . . . C. Black of Tillamook, Oregon. . . Mrs. Mabel O. Grant of . . . .
