John Carl Tienken – March 8, 1874 -- March 8, 1955

John Carl Tienken, farmer just south of Le Roy for more than 50 years, died Sunday, March 8, 1955, at his home in Riceville, Iowa. He was 81 years old.

Mr. Tienken was born March 8, 1874, in Brooklyn, N.Y. and came the same year with his parents to Iowa. He married Jessie Paul, Nov. 8, 1900 He was retired at the time of his death.

Surviving are his wife, sons Robert in the service in Korea and Harry at Riceville, one daughter Mr. C. Bowers of Waterloo, Iowa three sisters, Mrs. L. Taft, Mrs. John Thiedemann and Mrs. John Jones all or Le Roy, one grandson.

Funeral services were 2:00 Wed. at the Baptist Church in Riceville with Rev. D. Peterson Officiating. Intermit was in the Riverside Cemetery in Riceville, Wisconsin the Martz Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
