Lee Griffin, 49, Dies of Heart Attack

Mrs. Fred Hill and Mrs. Hazel Hill of Riceville, received word of the death of their brother, Lee Griffin, 49, Minot, N. Dakota of a heart attack last weekend. Funeral rites were held Monday, the 12th in Minot.

Griffin is survived by his wife and a son, who is at sea with the U.S. Navy; another sister, Mrs. Myrtle Combs, Bailey, Iowa, and three brothers, Elmo, McIntire; Gilbert, Princeton, Minn.; Orville, Weiser, Idaho. His mother, Mrs. Elsie Griffin, 90, passed away June 11. He was a resident of Riceville and McIntire for many years.

Lee D Griffin was born March 7, 1908 in Bailey, Mitchell, Iowa, the son of Charles Franklin Griffin and Elsie Elizabeth Flint. He married Eva Rose Kohoutek.
