Funeral services were held Saturday, May 28, 1988 at Conway Funeral Home, Riceville, for Hazel M. Hill, 89, of Riceville. She died Wednesday, May 25, 1988, at the Maple Manor Nursing Home in Osage. Burial was in the Liberty Cemetery at Little Cedar.

Mrs. Hill was born May 27, 1898 at Bailey, Iowa, to Charles and Elsie (Flint) Griffin.

She was superintendent of the hot lunch program at Riceville for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Grant; and by two sons.

Survivors include one daughter, Betty Wilkes of Osage; two sisters, Mrs. Leola Hill of Riceville, and Mrs. Myrtle Combs of Maple Manor Nursing Home, Osage; a brother, Elmo Griffin of Humboldt; nine grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
