Violet Amy (Crum) Bemus Melugin – August 8, 1904 – August 10, 1997

Violet Amy Crum was born August 8, 1904 in Mitchell County, Iowa, the daughter of Nelson Elmer Crum and Amy (Sprung) Crum.

She married Elmer Herman Bemus, the son of Myron and Carrie (Morrow) Bemus. They moved to California in1928 where he was an electrician almost 30 years for Union Oil and the Newberry Electric Company.

They had two sons born in California, who died at birth; Jerome Myron Bemus born/died May 21, 1929 and Nelson Earl Bemus born/died July 13, 1930.

Her husband Earl died November 1, 1962 in California. He and the two boys are buried in Sunnyside Cemetery, Long Beach, California.

On September 4, 1977 she married Roswell Elmore Melugin in Clark County, Nevada. He was born May 9, 1917 and died December 11, 2002.

Violet passed away August 10, 1997. She and her 2nd husband are both buried in the Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, Riverside Co., California.

She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, a brother Leland Crum, a sister Charlotte (Leonard) Theis
