Harvey L. Bill

Funeral services for Harvey L. Bill, 63, of Riceville, formerly of Charles City, were held Monday, February 1, 1988 at the Hauser Funeral Home, Charles City. The Reverend Robert Pfeil of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Charles City, officiated. Burial was in the Sunnyside Memorial Garden, Charles, City. Mr. Bill died Thursday, January 28, 1988 at the Cresco hospital.

He was born August 19, 1924 in Alta Vista, Iowa, to Fred and Rose (Davis) Bill. On April 30, 1944 he married Dorothy Chambers at Charles City. The couple farmed in the Charles City area until 1964 when they moved to Riceville.

He was preceed in death by his parents; two sons; two brothers; and a sister.

Surviviors include his wife, Dorothy of Riceville; eight daughters, Mrs. Wayne (Mary) Olson of Cresco, Mrs. Ronald (Nancy) Grimm, Mrs. Tim (Judy) McMaster, Mrs. Duane (Linda) Reddel, Tammy, Bill and Sandy Bill, all of Riceville; Mrs. Virgil (Janice) Runnion of Liverpool, West Virginia, and Mrs. Lowell (Vickie) Roethler of Algona; five sons, Larry of Hampton, Kenny of LeRoy, Minnesota, Roy of Spencer, West Virginia, Clayton of Riceville, and Russell of West Virginia; 27 grandchildren; 11 sisters, Freida Hart, Arlene Carr and Dorothy Logan, all of Charles City, Myrtle Albright of Greene, Elsie Conway of Nashua, Grace Waddell of Floyd, Clara Parker of East Olympia, Washington, Florence Wells of Bremerton, Washington, Violet Klassen and Edith Weiner, both of Genoa, Illinois, Mae Mackumul of Iowa City, and a brother, Lester Bill of Charles City.
