A Mass of Requiem was held for Emil M. Tonn, 54, on Wednesday, January 24, 1973, at 10:30 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Church of Riceville, with the Reverend Father J.W. Bohr officiating.
Mr. Tonn, born on August 1, 1918, in Riceville, Iowa was the son of Michael and Leopoldine Tonn. He passed away on January 21, 1973 in St. Paul Minnesota.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia, North St. Paul, Minnesota; three daughters, Diane, Polly, and Sue, all at home in North St. Paul; three sisters, Mrs. C.E. (Bertha) Dahlberg, Hollandale, Minnesota; Mrs. Emma Willner, Riceville, Mrs. Floyd (Olga) Gilbrecht, St. Ansgar, Iowa, four brothers, Albert, Riceville, Leo, Elma, Anton, Waterloo, and Edward of Barton, Florida, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Military services were conducted at the Calvary Cemetery by the Roy Gue Post 244 of the American Legion.
Interment was in the Calvary Cemetery with the Chisholm Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
