Funeral services for Wilmer Nack, 74, a farmer and lifelong resident of the Grafton area were held on Saturday, May 5, 1984 at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Grafton, with the Rev. G. Panko officiating.

Burial was in the Grafton Cemetery. Champion Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. He died Wednesday, May 2, at a Mason City hospital.

Wilmer Arnold Nack was born on June 17, 1909 in Mitchell county, Iowa. He was the son of Wilhelm and Ella Rosenberg Nack. He was baptized on June 19, 1909 at his home. Before starting school Wilmer moved with his family to Grafton. He attended school in Grafton through the 10th grade. He was confirmed on April 13, 1924 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Grafton. After finishing school he worked on various farms in the Grafton area.

On June 17, 1929 he was united in marriage to Olga Bartz. They made their home on the west edge of Grafton where he farmed and did trucking. She died on May 25, 1958.

On March 9, 1959 he was united in marriage to Alice Okland in Blue Earth, Minnesota. They lived in Northwood for three years before moving to Grafton.

Survivors include his wife, Alice; one daughter, Mrs. Alvin (Ramona) Meyer of Austin, Minnesota; three sons: William of Waterloo, Robert of Grafton and Richard of Grafton; four stepdaughters: Mrs. Ralph (Marilyn) Olson of Albert Lea, Minnesota, Karen Orvedal of Bolan, Mrs. Mike (Pat) Levison of Albert Lea and Linda Tucker of Sioux City; five stepsons: Donald Okland of Owatonna, Minnesota, Robert Okland of Lake Mills, Virgil Okland of Westminster, Colorado, Ronald Okland of Bowie, Maryland and Richard Okland of Kensett; eight grandchildren; 21 step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and 9 step-great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Clarence (Ione) Kruse of Hampton and one nephew, Steven Kruse of Hampton.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Olga; one brother, Elon and one sister, Luella Nack.
