Funeral services for Newell Johnson will be held on Thursday, May 10, 1984, at Rock Creek Lutheran Church with the Rev. P. Metzger officiating. Burial will be in the Rock Creek Cemetery.

Newell Johnson was born on Marh 15, 1904, the son of H.L. and Carrie Peterson Johnson. He was married to Jessie Woodiwiss on May 15, 1937, in the Methodist parsonage in Osage. He farmed in Floyd and Mitchell counties until he retired in 1967.

He is survived by his wife, Jessie of Osage; a daughter, Mrs. Corrine Bolz of Mason City and by two grandchildren.

Preceding him in death are his parents and two brothers, Alvin and Irwin.

Visitation will be Wednesday afternoon at Champion Funeral Home.
