[NOTE: PEER was born October 4, 1852 in Gol, Buskerud county, Norway. Parents: Ole Tollefsen and Mari Peersdatter.

Gol is in the Hallingdal valley.

Peter T. Ros, 83, a resident of this community since 1868, died in his room at the A.W. Miller home where he has lived for 20 years. Funeral services will be conducted at the Andrew Havig home and at the First Lutheran church with Rev. Olaf Langehough in charge.

Mr. Roe was born in Norway October 4, 1852. He came with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ole T. Roe, and sisters to the United States in 1867. They lived in Fillmore county, Minnesota for one year and then moved to the St. Ansgar community. Mr. Roe farmed here for many years and 40 years ago sold his farm and moved to town where he has since resided. He was a member of the First Lutheran church.

Mr. Roe had been in ill health all summer, heart disease and dropsy being the cause. In the final stages of his illness pneumonia was contracted.

He is surveved by five sisters; Mrs. Andrew Havig, Mrs. Leva Tuff, and Mrs. Ella Magnesen, all of St. Ansgar, Mrs. M.A. Tollefson of Santa Clara, Calif., and Mrs. E.A. Evans of Ulen, Minn. Interment will be made in the First Lutheran cemetery.
