On Wednesday evening, at ten o'clock, in this village (Carpenter), Mrs. Horace Douglass departed this life. She had been sick but a short time, and but few persons knew of her sickness, until they heard of her death. She was quite an old lady and it is thought that her age had much to do with her death. The funeral was held here on Friday at 2 o'clock, P.M. Rev. McIntire officiating. the discourse was short and very interesting.
