RITES HELD FOR AGED RESIDENT
MRS. AGNES KEEFE DIES AFTER BRIEF SICKNESS

Charles City – Funeral services were held Monday at 9 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church for Mrs. Agnes Keefe, 78, who died at the Cedar Valley Hospital Friday evening following a 2 weeks illness.

Mgsr. T. J. Rooney officiated and burial was in Calvary Cemetery. The remains were taken from Grossmann’s late Saturday afternoon to the home of Magnus Egan, 1202 North Grand Avenue where the Rosary Society recited the rosary at 8 p.m. Sunday.

Agnes Bolander was born June 15, 1868, at Waverly, daughter of Benjamin and Ellen Bolander. She was a lifelong resident of Charles City.

She is survived by 2 sisters; Mrs. Annie Egan, Dubuque; Mrs. Addie Evans, Des Moines; a brother; James Bolander, Minneapolis, Minnesota; a niece; Sister Mary Stephens, Cedar Rapids; and relatives in Minnesota.
Her husband, Charles, died a few years ago.

Note***She was a sister of Anne (Bolander) Egan, wife of Thomas Egan.

Agnes married Charles E Keefe, the son of Michael Keefe and Ellen Agnes (Kildee) Keefe.

Charles E. Keefe was born December 4, 1862 in Osage, Mitchell, Iowa and died September 9, 1925 in Iowa.
