Lester R. Anderson was born October 16, 1900 at Floyd County, Iowa to Nils Anderson (born October 14, 1854 Horgeneiet, Gran, Hadeland, Norway, died May 23, 1928 Osage, Mitchell, Iowa) and Anna Maria Halvorsdatter Horgen (born December 2, 1860 Rustadbakken in Hurdal, Gran, Hadeland, Norway, died April 29, 1931 Osage, Mitchell, Iowa). Lester's parents had emigrated to Clermont, Fayette, Iowa on July 25, 1878 from Horgeneiet, Norway and lived there a few years before moving to Floyd Co, Iowa.

Lester's siblings (that I have found) were:
Albert (1878-?);
Martha (born 1882, married Leonard Isaac Turnmire, died 1952);
Lena (born 1885);
Henry (1888-1967);
Oscar (born 1890);
Gilbert (born July 5, 1893 Floyd, Iowa, married Stella Isabel Odden June 4, 1918, died May 24, 1969 Osage, Mitchell, Iowa);
Alma Nellie (born October 10, 1896 Floyd, Iowa, married Oscar Richard Virchow);
Olga (born October 1899 Floyd, Iowa, married Lloyd Rucker) and
Nora (born 1903 Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa, married Arthur Noble Nelson, died 1969 Iowa).

Lester found living with his parents in the 1910 and 1925 censuses at Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa:
1910: Nels Anderson 75[45], Anna Anderson 49, Gilbert Anderson 16, Alma Anderson 13, Alda Anderson 10, Lester Anderson 9, Nora Anderson 7.
1925: working as a servant: Herbert J. Johnson 26, Frances H. Johnson 25, Lester R. Anderson 24.

Found Lester in the 1915 census at Osage, Mitchell, Iowa: attending school, student, Lutheran: Lester Anderson age 14.

Lester married Mabel Elnora Odden on June 24, 1925 at Mitchell, Iowa, they began farming. The couple had no children.

Couple found in the 1930 census living at Mitchell, Mitchell, Iowa: Lester R. Anderson 29, Mabel E. Anderson 27, Lawrence Schmidt 23.

Lester Anderson died September 4, 1979 at Osage, Mitchell, Iowa, and is buried at the Osage City Cemetery.
