OSAGE MAN’S SISTER DIES AT DAVENPORT

Osage – Miss Edith Wright, 51, died suddenly Monday at St. Luke’s Hospital at Davenport from complications following major surgery.

The body was expected to arrive at the Champion Funeral Home in Osage Tuesday.

Miss Wright was a teacher in the public schools at Moline, Illinois. A brother, Hollis Wright, of Osage, survives.

Edith Wright was born ca. 1901 in Osage, Mitchell County, Iowa, the daughter of Afton Spencer Wright and Delia Sawyer (Weatherly) Wright. The 1910 Census lists her as being 9 years old.
