Obituary

Anita M. DeBoer, age 47, of Lyle, Minnesota died Monday February 20, 2012 at her home in Lyle.

Anita Marie Hoffman was born June 18, 1964 in Osage, Iowa to Dean and Helen (Hoff) Hoffman. She attended school in St. Ansgar, Iowa and lived on the family farm in Mitchell County. Anita then married Wayne DeBoer; they later divorced. She was employed by Malt-O-Meal for 11 years. Her free time was spent going to many movies and concerts, and she enjoyed playing pool. She also enjoyed attending her daughter Jasmine’s school activities and her son Dean’s sports and athletic events. Anita loved watching and spending time with her granddaughter Briella.

Survivors include her children, Dean (Brooke) DeBoer and Jasmine Christiansen, both of Lyle; granddaughter Briella DeBoer of Lyle; her parents Dean and Helen Hoffman of St. Ansgar; brothers Randy (Kari) and family, Dale (Lynda Kisner) and family, Jody (Jane); nieces, nephews, and other family members. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Margaret and Arland Hoff and Ida and Bill Hoffman.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday February 24, 2012 at the Worlein Funeral Home Chapel in Austin with Reverend Barbara Finley-Shea officiating. Friends may call one hour before the service that day. Worlein Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
