DIED FOLLOWING A
BRIEF ILLNESS SUN.Mrs. John R. Dorsey, 50, of near Plymouth, wife of a well-known former Mitchell county man, died early Sunday morning at a local hospital following a sudden illness. She became ill on the street about 7 o'clock Saturday evening, and was taken to the hospital. Cerebral hemorrhage was given as the cause of death by attending physicians.
Surviving Mrs. Dorsey are her husband, an auctioneer, and a brother to Will Dorsey, Osage; a daughter, Mrs. Fred Hunchis of Plymouth; two sons, Richard of Waverly, and John Jr. of Plymouth; two sisters, Mrs. B.D. Cummings of Cedar Falls, and another resides in Washington state.
Two sons preceded her in death.
Mrs. Dorsey was born on February 4, 1886, at Plymouth, and had been almost a lifelong resident of that place. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Crimmings.
Funeral services were held at St. Michael's Catholic Church at Plymouth, Tuesday morning, with Father D. O'Leary, of Manly, in charge. Burial was in St. Joseph's cemetery in Mason City.
