Robert Leland Kurtz – October 9, 1909 – September 2, 1964

Osage: Robert Kurtz, 54, died Wednesday during open heart surgery at Veterans Hospital, Minneapolis. He had been there since July 27.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 9 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Church here. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Champion Funeral Home is in charge.

He was a veteran of World War II. He had been employed at Davidson Gas & Electric Company. He was born at Fairfield October 9, 1909 to Anthony and Hilda Kurtz and had lived here since childhood. He was unmarried.

Surviving are his father, Des Moines; three brothers, Shirley, Osage; James, Willow Springs, Missouri; Wendell, Washington, D.C.; two sisters, Mrs. Leo (Charlotte) Comisky, Osage; Mrs. Dewey (Marilyn) Foreman, Minneapolis.
