Funeral services will beheld on Wednesday, April 3, 1985, at the United Methodist Church of Riceville for Clarence Gosselin, 89, who died at his home in Riceville, Sunday, march 31, 1985. Rev. L. Carlson will officiate, and burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery of Riceville.

Clarence Gosselin was born on October 1, 1895 at Alden, the son of William Henry and Anna Maria Harris Gosselin. In 1914 he moved to Mitchell County. He and Mary Fern Guffey were married on January 23, 1922 in Charles City. The couple then farmed in the Riceville area. Mr. Gosselin was a veteran of World War I, serving in the infantry.

Survivors include his wife, Mary; three daughters: Mrs. Lorris (Marian) Hamm of Mason City, Mrs. William (Joan) Adams of North English, and Mrs. Larry (Irma) VanWey of Mason City; one sister, Pearl Councill of Lincoln, Nebraska; one brother, Floyd Gosselin of Pasco, Washington; 15 grandchidlren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Gosselin was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, one brother and a son, Earl Eugene.
