Johanne Marie Pederson was born in Denmark December 18, 1810.
She was married to Nils Lund in the spring of 1848. They had one child, Mr. A.N. Lund. Nils Lund died in the spring of 1851.
On June 18, 1854 Mrs. Lund was married to Adolph Christopher Paulson. Mr. and Mrs. Paulson emigrated to America in 1870 and located in St. Ansgar twp., where they have been residents since. They had one child, Mrs. Mary Fedson.
Mrs. Paulson had been poorly for some time. She was troubled with asthma and heart disease. For the last 13 weeks before her death she was sick abed. The last 6 weeks she was also afflicted with dropsy. She died quietly Sunday evening, January 31 at 9:30.
The funeral was held at the N.L. church, February 3., just two years after the sudden death of Mr. Fedson while enroute to Chicago-a sad fact which was mentioned by the pastor in the English sermon.
The church, as usual, was appropriately decorated. Rev. Waldeland officiated, preaching both in the Norwegian and Enlish languages. His text for the Norwegian sermon was Heb. 10:38 and for the English sermon 1 Cor. 13:13.
The remains were laid to rest in the family lot in the city cemetery.
