Bertha Marie (Smith) Shepard – July 31, 1885 – April 2, 1963

BERTHA SHEPARD
McIntire – Bertha Marie Shepard, 77, of McIntire, died Tuesday at the Riceville Hospital. Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Chisholm Funeral Home in Riceville. The Rev. Robert Leverenz will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Born in New Haven, July 31, 1885, she was the daughter of George and Julia Smith. She had been a member of Royal Neighbors 50 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, William; a son and a sister.

Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Clara Button, Riceville; a daughter-in-law; Mrs. Sally Shepard, Henderson, Nevada; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
