MRS. JOHN CASEY DIES IN OSAGE
IS SURVIVED BY FOUR GROWN CHILDREN

Osage, Feb. 6 – Mrs. John Casey, 86, died Wednesday morning at 3:30 o’clock at her home on Pleasant Street. The funeral will be held at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Friday morning at 9:30 o’clock and burial will be in the Catholic cemetery.

She was born November 22, 1844 in Massena, St. Lawrence County, New York.

Those who survive Mrs. Casey are sons Daniel and John Casey; and daughters; Margaret and Nellie Casey; also a sister Miss Susie A. Waters who is the sole survivor of eleven children.

Note: either she was 88 at the time of death and born in 1842, or her tombstone has the wrong dates on it and she was born 1844 as obit says. See #2. The 1900 Census also has Nov. 1842.
