Zilpha Louisa (Cockerham) Barnes Ross – February 1, 1880 – January 29, 1952

Louisa, and her twin sister, Charity Elvira, were the 10th and 11th of 12 children of James Patterson Cockerham and Amelia Darnell.

She married Robert Floyd Barnes on 2 Dec 1900 in Wilkes County, North Carolina. She and Robert had three children, including Zetta May (1901-1949), Lura Delaney (1903-1907), and John Orval (1904-1980). Robert died on 1 Jan 1908.

She married Gabriel A. Ross in 1924.

Zilpha Louisa Cockerham was born February 1, 1880 in North Carolina, the daughter of James Patterson Cockerham and Amelia Darnell Cockerham.

She died January 29, 1952 in Marshalltown, Marshall, Iowa and was buried in the Wayne Cemetery, Mitchell Co., Iowa.
