Bonnie Jean (Butterfield) Morse -- September 23, 1933 – Jebruary 16, 2008

LEROY -- The funeral for Bonnie J. Morse will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Grace Christian Church in LeRoy, with the Rev. Dick Burlingame officiating. Burial will be in LeRoy Lutheran Cemetery.

Mrs. Morse, 74, of LeRoy, died Saturday (Feb. 16, 2008) in LeRoy.

Bonnie Jean Butterfield was born Sept. 23, 1933, in Mitchell, Iowa, and graduated from McIntire (Iowa) High School. On Feb. 18, 1950, she married Donald E. Morse in Rochester. The couple farmed in LeRoy Township, Mower County, until moving to LeRoy in 1982. Mrs. Morse also worked in Rochester as a housekeeper for Sadler Properties until retiring in 1995. She enjoyed gardening, crafts, cooking and baking, and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by two sons, Bruce (Sue) and Gary, both of LeRoy; two daughters, Pam (Sandy) Forstner and Sue Ellen Gardner, both of Austin; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Reese Butterfield of McIntire, Iowa; and three sisters, Florence Holmen of McIntire, Darlene (Ray) Brainerd of Marion, Iowa, and Beada Atherton of Rochester. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1993, and a brother.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Hindt Funeral Home in LeRoy, and an hour before the service Wednesday at the church.

Bonnie Jean Butterfield was born September 23, 1933 in Mitchell Co, Iowa, the daughter of George Benjamin Butterfield and Ruth Evelyn (Eastman) Butterfield.
