HALVERSON, Conrad Selmer 1905-1986

Funeral services were held on Monday, March 3, 1986, at LeRoy Lutheran Church for Conrad Selmer Halverson of LeRoy, Minnesota. Rev. D. Hanson officiated and interment was in the LeRoy Cemetery. Mr. Halverson died on Friday, February 28, 1986 at his home in LeRoy.

Conrad was born in Rock Township, Mitchell County, Iowa, on October 7, 1905, the son of Karl and Sedsel Halverson. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. On May 22, 1927 he was married to Hazel Helgeson of Lyle, Minnesota. They farmed in northern Iowa until 1943 when they purchased a farm near Taopi, Minnesota. In 1976 they retired and moved to LeRoy where they continued to enjoy their horses and hobbies.

His wife, Hazel preceded him in death in January of 1983.

On January 17, 1984, Conrad married Sigrid Moe of LeRoy, Minnesota, and continued living at his home there.

He is survived by his wife, Sigrid; four daughters, Arlene (Mrs. Dean) Lane of San Diego, California, JoAnn (Mrs. Virgil) Underdahl of Burnsville, Minnesota, Connie (Mrs. Dale) Hendrickson of Colwell, Iowa, Linda (Mrs. Ted) McAndrews of Osage; six children and eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bentley and Harold Halverson of Osage; five sisters: Olga Halverson of Osage, Marion Smalley of Osage, Millie Neuberger of Garner, Iowa, Evelyn Brown of Charles City, and Jeanette Halverson of Arlington, Wisconsin.
