Funeral services for Mrs. Ralph (Laura) Wherry, 81, of Osage, Iowa, were held on Monday, March 10, 1986, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Osage. Rev. J. Nesheim and Rev. D. Hanson officiated, and burial was in the Osage Cemetery. Mrs. Wherry died on Friday, March 7, 1986 at Mitchell County Memorial Hospital.
She was born on May 2, 1904 in Mitchell County, to Ole and Mary (Heggerustad) Lindley. She graduated from Osage high school, and on March 10, 1928 she married Ralph Wherry in Minneapolis. She worked in the Mitchell County Treasurer's office for 17 years until her retirement in 1970.
She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and church circle.
Mrs. Wherry was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Ida and Sarah; two brothers, Oscar and Clarence; and by one grandson, David.
Survivors include her husband, Ralph; two sons, Darrell of Osage and Marvin of Marseilles, Illinois; four sisters, Mrs. Olava Koch of Mason City, Mrs. Clara Wherry of Waterloo, Mrs. Ida Bisbee of Elkhorn, Wisconsin, and Mrs. Harrison (Alice) Schulz of Osage; three brothers: Carl Lindley, Levi Lindley and Melvin Lindley, all of Osage; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren
