Julia O. Tollefson

#1:

Julie O. Tollefson was born in Hemsedalen, Norway, December 21, 1877. Her father died in the spring of 1885, just before the family had planned to go to America. The mother and children, however started somewhat later the same year and settled immediately near St. Ansgar, where they have since made their home. Julie was confirmed by Reverend Olsen, October 2, 1902.

Her health began to fail about a year ago. She was taken sick about two months before her mother's death. It proved to be a complication of diseases. The direct cause of her death, however, was heart failure. Trusting in and confessing her Savior, she died quietly Wednesday, January 4, 1905 at 2 p.m.

The funeral was held at the N. L. church January 7. In spite of the inclement weather the hose was well filled. She was laid to rest in the N. L. Cemetery, Reverend Waldeland officiating.

The following relatives from abroad attended the funeral: Mr. and Mrs. Knut Christiansen of Northwood, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. N. O. Nelson, London, Minnesota; Mr. Iver Johnson, Lansing. Minnesota; and Mrs. Gena Becker from North Dakota.

Card of Thanks

We hereby wish to extend our heartfelt thanks to all for the good will and kindness shown our deceased sister and ourselves during her sickness and her death.
