Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 2, 1987 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Osage, Iowa, for Mrs. John (Mary Colleen) "Coke" Miles, 61, of New Haven, Iowa. Rev. L. Connolly officated, and burial was in Rock Island, Illinois, National Cemetery. Mrs. Miles died on Thursday, April 30, 1987 at her home after a long illness.

She was born on July 20, 1925 to Maurice and Isabelle (Kleckner) Condon. She graduated from Osage Community High School. She married John D. Miles on April 15, 1944 in Reno, Nevada.

Mrs. Miles spent the next 20 years accompanying her husband, who was on military active duty. The couple traveled to several areas in the United States and abroad.

After Mr. Miles retired, the couple returned to Mitchell County where she opened the New Haven Tavern. She was self-employed until 1982 when she closed the tavern and retired in the area.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Survivors include her husband, John; a daughter, Patricia Miles; two sons, Dave and Mike; five grandchildren: John, Maureen, Elizabeth, Grace and Dave; her mother, Isabelle Condon; five brothers: Clair, Bill, Jack, Dick and Jerome Condon.
