LEROY -- The funeral for Harold F. Frieberg will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in the United Lutheran Church in Chester, Iowa, with the Rev. Dan Christensen officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Riceville, Iowa, with full military honors by the Hanson-Raabe VFW Post 4114.

Mr. Frieberg, 68, of LeRoy, died Wednesday (Oct. 26, 2005) at Ostrander Care and Rehab in Ostrander.

Harold Frank Frieberg was born Jan. 18, 1937, in Cresco, Iowa, and graduated from Riceville High School. On March 9, 1963, he married Ruth Musel in Sioux Falls, S.D.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Mark (Dawn) of Hayfield and Bradley of Sparta, Wis.; a step-granddaughter; and three sisters, Dottie Frieberg of Riceville, Hazel Harden of Rochester and Julie (Mike) Swett of Ames, Iowa. A sister preceded him in death.

Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Hindt Funeral Home in LeRoy, and an hour before the service Saturday at the church.

Harold Frank Frieberg was the son of Clayton Pierson Frieberg and Violet Ellen (Baethke) Frieberg.

He married Loma Jean Bakkum, the daughter of John and Alyce (Holmquist) Bakkum May 19,1956, and they were divorced in November of 1957. Loma was born February 18, 1938.

Divorce Granted: A divorce was granted to Loma Jean Bakkum Frieberg from Harold Frieberg, Riceville. They were married May 19, 1956, at Chester, and separated May, 1957. No children, no property settlement. Plaintiff reserves the right to assume her maiden name

Loma Jean Bakkum married a 2nd time to Robert Edward Wilcox in 1958. They had a son William Joseph Wilcox born June 6, 1963 in Minnesota.

Loma Jean (Bakkum) Frieberg Wilcox married a 3rd time to Floyd Roske.

Harold Frieberg married a 2nd time to Ruth Ellen Musel, the daughter of Albert and Ella (Jensen) Musel and they had two sons; Mark Steven Frieberg and Bradley Allen Frieberg. Ruth Musel was born January 18, 1942 in Mower County, Minnesota.
