Native dies in Alabama. Word has been received this week of the death of Vero J. (Charlie) Wolf, 72, Sept. 24, 1981 at his Montgomery AL residence after an extended illness. Ralph J. Wolf, former Stacyville business man, has provided the information on his brother’s death and burial.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, September 26 at St. Bede’s Catholic Church with Fr. Charles Troncale officiating. Interment was in Memorial Cemetery with White Chapel Directing.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Charlie Coleman Wolf; a daughter, Mrs. Richard W. (Amelia) Thompson, Birmingham; one sister, Mrs. Stella Adams, Des Moines; two brothers, Ralph J. Wolf of Dayton a Beach, Florida, and Joseph N. Wolf, Englewood, Colorado.
Vero J. Wolf was born in Stacyville, Nov. 29, 1908, the son of Joseph and Margaret Thome Wolf.
He was retired from the George A. Hormel Co. and was a member of St. Bede’s Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.
In lieu of lowers, the family requests that memorials may be made to St. Bede’s Catholic Church.
