BERT MINOR DIES AFTER ILLNESS OF FOUR YEARS

Riceville – Bert Minor, 88, died Sunday at the Riceville City Hospital where he had been a patient four years.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the First Congregational Church here. The Rev. Herschel Hawf of the Free Methodist church and the Rev. Norman Halliday of the Congregational Church will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery here.

Surviving are two sons, Harry, Riceville; Glendon, Sioux Falls, South Dakota; and a daughter; Mrs. Al Strutz, Bismarck, North Dakota.

Bert Leemont Minor was born April 27, 1872 in Mitchell Co., Iowa, the son of John H Minor and Adelaide (Davenport) Minor. He married Alta Jane Harrison, the daughter of Charles Harrison and Martha (Winsor) Harrison.
