Funeral services for Harry H. Nieman, 64, who died at his home here June 16, were held June 20 at the First Lutheran church with the Rev. Stephen Engelstad officiating.

Harry Herman Nieman, son of Otto and Christena (Manty) Nieman, was born July 29, 1910 near Little Falls, Minn. He attended public school at Pike Creek, Minn. and at age 20, enrolled in the Lincoln Airplane and Flying School at Lincoln, Neb. where his fellow townsman, Charles A. Lindbergh, had learned to fly before his solo trans Atlantic flight.

On July 17, 1935 he married Miss Dorothy Gutman in St. Cloud, Minn. Two children were born to them.

Mr. Nieman was baptized and confirmed October 6, 1935 by the Rev. Ottomar A. Sylvester at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran church in Randall, Minn.

He was a painter and businessman most of his adult life and was operating the St. Ansgar Greenhouse at the time of his death. He had maintained his love of flying and operated his own airplane until high blood pressure forced him to give up his pilot's license.

Mr. Nieman was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Alma Nelson and Alice Eckland, and one brother, Walter Nieman. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy of St. Ansgar; his daughter, Mrs. Clarence (Yvonne) Krumm of Charles City; his son, Harry, Jr. of Austin, Minn. and four grandchildren; also one sister, Mrs. Harry (Mae) Kittelson of Brooten, Minn. and one brother, Henry Nieman of Hill City, Minn.

Burial was in the First Lutheran cemetery with Rev. Englestad in charge of the committal services.
