Funeral services for Elvin O. Nelson, 77, who died at the Mitchell County Memorial hospital July 28, 1975, were held July 30 at the First Lutheran church here with the Rev. S. Engelstad officiating.

Elvin Olaf Nelson was born August 18, 1897 in St. Ansgar, the son of Sever and Gunda Nelson. He was baptized and confirmed at First Lutheran church by the Rev. M.E. Waldeland. He was a farmer and held various jobs until his health failed.

Mr. Nelson is survived by three sisters: Mrs. George (Selma) Trusty of Ionia; Laurene Hansen of Riceville; and Mrs. Truman (Olga) Ask of Osage.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers. Burial was in First Lutheran cemetery with Rev. Engelstad in chargge of committal services.
