STANNARD HILL DIES SUDDENLY AT OSAGE HOME

Osage – Stannard Hill, 53, died suddenly at his home here, Monday. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the First Methodist Church. The Rev. Everett E. Pencock will officiate. Burial will be in Little Cedar Cemetery.

Born in Little Cedar, in June 1907, he was the son of Fred and Minnie Hill. He was graduated from the Osage High school and was married to Amy DeLaney in 1928.

They have lived in Osage since their marriage. He was a longtime employee of the Mitchell County Press and owned and operated the Snack Shop.

Surviving are his wife, three daughters; Mrs. Michael Shannahan, Osage; Mrs. Junior Balsley, Floyd; Kay, a student at SUI; two sons; Ronnie, a student at Iowa State; and Keith, at home.
