OSAGE, IOWA - Funeral rites will be on Wednesday at the Champion Funeral Home for Ernest A. Reasland, 73, who died on Monday at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Johnson county, Iowa, near Palisades, and spent his boyhood there, marrying Mary Machover. The couple lived in Johnson county, then at West Union, Fayette county, where Mrs. Reasland died in 1926. There were 14 children in the family. He remarried in 1927 to Mrs. Nellie Markley of West Union. The couple lived in West Union, then at Marion, and coming to Osage in 1935. Three children were born to this marriage.

He leaves a widow at Osage and the following children: Mrs. Edward Jordan, Milwaukee; Mrs. Dewey Sund, Minneapolis; Fran, Iowa City, Raymond, Sumner; James, Fayette; Mrs. Michael Skovnak, Minneapolis; Lewis, Des Moines; William, Minneapolis; Mrs. Vincent Roy and Joseph, Lake Park, Illinois; and Mrs. Catherine Skinner, Minneapolis, all from his first marriage; and from the second marriage: Mrs. Lyle Christiansen, Charles City; Mrs. Robert Marvin, Fort Dodge; and Clyde, Waterloo.

Three children, Lawrence, Donald and Grace, all from the first marriage, are deceased.
