HOLD RITES SATURDAY FOR CARPENTER WOMAN

Carpenter, Iowa – Funeral services for Mrs. Kate Larson, 70, will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Deer Creek Lutheran Church, the Rev. O. A. Langehough of St. Ansgar officiating. She died Tuesday at her home in Carpenter following a stroke the day before.

Mrs. Larson was the widow of Chris Larson who died in 1946

She is survived by two sons, Leonard of Carpenter and Irving of Hutchinson, Minnesota, a daughter, Mrs. Earl (Gladys) Cooper of Grafton, six grandchildren, two brothers and three sisters.

Kate Jennie Kilgore was born November 11, 1880 in Mitchell Co., the daughter of William Edwin Kilgore and Ruth (Nash) Kilgore. Her parents are buried in the Woodbury Cemetery, Lyle, Mower, Minnesota. She married Christian Larson, the son of Peter and Dorothea (Jacobsen) Larson

According to the 1925 Iowa Census; Kate Larson was the daughter of Edwin Kilgore and Ruth Nesh. She married Christian Larson the son of P. A. Larson and Dorothea Johannson. He married Kate Kilgore, the daughter of Edwin Kilgore and Ruth Nesh.
